From:
Suffolk, UK
Learnt to ski:
First ski trip was to La Plagne
Summer months:
As a family we have moved out to the mountains rather than heading back to the farm in Suffolk. So am living here – biking, hiking, Daddy-ing and enjoying the natural beauty surrounding us here.

Favourite piste/run:
Favourite piste – Marmotte down to Cave de Creux and then to bottom of Aiguille de fruit!
Favourite off-piste area:
It’s a bit of a hike but worth it. Head up to the top of the free ride zone which is the old Creux Noir chair between Courchevel and Meribel/Mottaret! Amazing bowls and lines all over, snow is usually consistently good!
Favourite lift:
La Masse bubble , the new one is the best lift! Fastest in Europe?!!?! And gives me vertigo at the top but the amount of fantastic skiing you can do from there in quick loops is just tops!
Best view :
Same as above at the top of the La Masse bubble. It has the best views with an excellent interactive viewing point to locate all the big peaks! Well worth the trip over there!
On hill eating:
I love the Portetta in Courchevel 1650. Great pizzas and beautiful sun terrace!
Evening apres or dining spot:
Apres – a little less likely nowadays but love the vin chaud in the Peupliers in Le Praz followed by an amazing meal over the road in the Bistro du Praz!!!
3v must do:
Great to go up to Le Monchu after dark on a piste basher on the Wednesday for evening meal after dark!
Simple advice:
Don’t rush the turn, count to three from start to finish, don’t fight it, it’ll be too tiring!!
Don’t leave home without:
Skis! Never leave home without my skis, always a better day with those bad boys!!!
