From:

Nottingham, UK

Learnt to ski:

Carlton Forum Dry Ski Slope, Nottingham (A good old plastic diamond brush slope 40 meters long max) at 4 years old.

Summer months:

When I’m not on the snow, I work in construction. Electrical and plastering are my main trades but will pretty much do anything that needs to be done to move a project to the finish line. House and Chalet renovations have been the bulk of the work of recent years. It’s a dusty game!!!

Favorite piste/run:

Has to be the top of Vizelle, Suisse and Marmottes lifts in Courchevel 1850. When the snow is good all of the runs below there are top class and there is a good mix of terrain from steep to cruisy. I love it!!! I’m a fan of the quick turn around also.

Favourite off-piste area:

Mont Vallon when the snow permits!! There’s so much to do there. But honestly, I just love to ski where the snow is good quality where ever that may be.

Favourite lift:

Well, I have a fond memory of a ride up the Aiguille du Fruit chair lift in Courchevel with a regular client of mine in extremely high winds accompanied with freezing rain coming at us from below?? It was intense to say the least and made more interesting when the lift stopped running with us on it for 30 minutes! We had to question the balance of our enthusiasm versus common sense at this point whilst laughing a lot!! We did however manage to talk in some depth about our education growing up(or lack of in my case) it was hilarious!

Best view:

Meribel, Saulire side looking down the valley close to dusk in the winter on a clear day. It really is lovely!

On hill eating:

I mean there is a lot to choose from here. Chalet Pierre has been a popular choice for my clients over recent years and it’s always been amazing.

Evening apres or dining spot:

Copina, Meribel for drinks. I love this place, from the quality drinks to the cool staff it’s my favourite hang out spot in Meribel by far!

3v must do:

Ski til you drop!!!!

Simple advice:

Allow your skis to glide between turns! You got this!!!

Don’t leave home without:

Courage and optimism???
