From:

North East England – Northumberland

Learnt to ski:

A bit in wet and windy Scotland, a bit on a dry slope and a bit in Italy which was nicest of the three!

Summer months:

Recently been ski coaching all year round and real estate broker.

Favourite piste/run:

The Foret blue run in the trees in La Tania

Favourite off-piste area:

Wherever is good that day!

Favourite lift:

Loze chairlift from Meribel to Courchevel. Very chill. Any bubble on a cold day!

Best view :

Top of the Cime de Caron in Val Thorens. Rumour has it you can see the Matterhorn but my eyesight is failing me!

On hill eating:

I like the Bouc Blanc in La Tania. Simple, unpretentious and a good mountain meal.

Evening apres or dining spot:

I haven’t done evening apres since the millenium so I am not the man to ask but I do like Alessandro’s in 1850

3v must do:

Ski to the Orelle Valley. It feels totally different along there but make sure you have a decent level as some of the runs to get in there are tricky.

Simple advice:

Spend more time skiing confidently on easier runs than scrapping down hard ones.

Don’t leave home without:

Your wallet and car keys, you lift pass, your sunglasses, sun cream, snacks for the kids, helmet, telephone…the list is endless.
