Filippo – Agriturismo Valdigoja
Filippo’s family run Agriturismo Valdigoja – Another reason to visit Italy and to keep up your Marmalade connections!
“Suggestive contrasts between the green pastures, the pristine forests and the peaks of the mountains that stand out in the blue of the sky. This is the frame in which is inserted the old family farmhouse that makes up the farm. The Valdigoja is located a few steps from Varallo, the heart of Valsesia, at the foot of Monte Rosa.
Nestled in the quiet chestnut woods, it is the ideal starting point for excursions to discover Monte Rosa and the Alta Valsesia Natural Park or to admire the artistic beauties of the Sacro Monte di Varallo. The large outdoor terrace is ideal for receptions on the occasion of birthdays and ceremonies.”
During the summer months Filippo’s skis are replaced by saucepans. Ski poles are cast aside for spatulas and wooden spoons. Then the white snow upon which he slides makes way for fresh, local and delicious produce.
With a simple but guaranteed delicious menu such as this we know where we’d like to visit this summer.
The Menu
Stunning scenery, great food and the odd familiar yodel coming from the kitchen to remind us of nostre amigo Filippo.
If there is no opportunity see him this summer then don’t hesitate to get in touch and book him up for some skiing this coming winter.
