About The ‘How to’ Sessions
Think of our “How To” sessions more as a shared private than traditional group ski lessons and you’re half way there.
Once you can happily ski parallel down any blue run in resort then the mountain really opens itself up to you. From this point you can start to use your equipment more and discover the joys of carving on groomed slopes. You can improve your short turns to be able to handle steep slopes. Use a variety of skills, turns and tactics to take on a mogul field. Adjust your style, technique and subtlety to sign your name in the off-piste.
It’s still based on the basics but from here you can learn how to ski the whole mountain.
The “How To” sessions on offer are…
- The Blue How to – Learn to confidently control your speed and turns when the slopes get steeper or more variable due to snow conditions. Introducing smaller / shorter turns and improving grip on steeper slopes.
- The Red How To – Develop the skills, capability and confidence to take on almost any piste in any condition. Bumpy afternoon pistes, steeper pitches, icy patches.
- The Black How To – Master the mountain and work on skills which will leave you enjoying any run in any resort in any condition.
- Intro to Off-Piste – Looking to start straying to the other side of the piste markers? Develop the skills and tactics to enjoy the soft stuff!
With small groups (4 max) and optimum student focus these courses are a real fast track way of increasing your understanding and ability as quickly as possible.
